Jeffrey Grant Pierce, Sr. was born in Mobile, Alabama in 1970. Jeffrey graduated from St. Paul’s Episcopal High School in Mobile, Alabama. Jeffrey attended Birmingham- Southern College in the honors program, transferring to the University of Alabama where he excelled in his studies, making the President’s List and English Honor Society. Jeffrey also excelled in rugby, leading the Crimson Tide into the spotlight by appearing in the United States East Coast playoffs and thereafter playing for the All-Star Select side team. Jeffrey turned down offers to play professional rugby opting instead to pursue his studies. Jeffrey attended the University of South Alabama and University of Alabama at Birmingham where he pursued a master’s degree in literature with a focus on Anglo-Saxon literature. Jeffrey then transitioned into studying the law and received his first law degree from Mississippi College of Law, graduating in top quarter of his class in 1999. Jeffrey returned to pursue a LL.M. degree, obtaining the same with honors in 2014 from the University of Alabama Law School. Jeffrey has been the principal member of the Law Office of Jeffrey G. Pierce, PLLC since its inception in 2009. Jeffrey practices litigation in all state and federal courts and is board certified in bankruptcy law. Jeffrey has also been named one of the top 100 criminal defense lawyers and top 10 DUI lawyers in Mississippi. Jeffrey’s experience is extensive; he interned with the Mississippi Attorney General, was a judicial clerk to the Honorable James M. Moody, United States District Court Judge for the Eastern District of Arkansas, practiced with the law firms of Daniel, Coker, Horton & Bell, P.A. (Gulfport); Allen, Vaughn, Cobb & Hood, P.A. (Gulfport); and McGlinchey-Stafford, P.L.L.C. (Jackson) before opening his own practice. From 2015-2020, Jeffrey served as an administrative law judge for the Mississippi State Personnel Board’s Employee Appeals Board. Jeffrey has tried cases in just about every possible venue and varying legal topics in his 23 years of practice. Jeffrey has extensive courtroom experience in handling every aspect of a case from start to finish. Jeffrey has been an adjunct instructor teaching students varying aspects of trial practice, business law, criminal law, domestic law and paralegal studies at the University of Southern Mississippi, Tulane University and Mississippi College School of Law. Jeffrey has also served on the board of directors for the Mississippi Defense Lawyer’s Association, where he published a multitude of articles for their publication. Jeffrey has also published an article in the Employment and Labor Relations Journal for the American Bar Association. Jeffrey has been recognized by the Mississippi Business Journal as a leader in the law in the State of Mississippi. Jeffrey has devoted many years of service to the Mississippi Bar serving as a member of the Ethics Committee (2004-2008), the Professionalism Committee (2008), as a Bar Commissioner for the 19th Judicial District (2017-2020), and by way of his service on the Mississippi Board of Bar Admission's Character and Fitness Review Committee (2004-2013). Jeffrey has spoken at numerous seminars as a guest speaker. Jeffrey is representing clients across the Mississippi Gulf Coast in Pascagoula, Moss Point, Gautier, Ocean Springs, St. Martin, D’Iberville, Biloxi, Gulfport, Pass Christian, Long Beach, Bay St. Louis, Waveland. Jeffrey also represents Poplarville, Picayune, Wiggins, Lucedale, and Hattiesburg.
